I fitted a HM Quickshifter today to my bike and as I lifted the tank the pipes popped off the bottom.
What I found was that the bigger bore pipe had been kinked and was retaining water in the drain .

There was quite a bit of rusty gunge that came out, I would advice folk to check this pipe to make sure it's free draining.
I found a longer bit of pipe of the same size bore and routed it in a different way, so hopefully it won't cause and more issues.

Mine was kinked too, re- routed it as well. You can check it's draining properly by squirting a syringe full of water into the recess around the fuel filler, if it dribbles out of the bottom of the bike it's fine, if not it's kinked under the tank.
