Just fitted my new full system and it says on the fitting guide, note* exhaust may smoke a little the first time due to burning oil off the new pipes.

A little? I thought my bike was on fire or some wire were touching the exhaust and melting!

Anyway I kept my eye on it and ran the bike up to temperature and the smoke from the headers cleared and stopped coming out of the can as well.
All good I think, so I turned the bike off and now there is smoke coming out the can with the engine off? It took a good 10-15 mins to stop coming out.

    Is this normal as well?
I've never fitted a new system before

As Racman says perfectly normal, just manufacturers coatings. Sometimes the coating is quite acrid until totally burnt off.:D
