Have you thought about getting 2 pairs? At the moment I'm using Sidi b2 gortex boots for winter & v wet riding & Sidi Vertigo for rest of time. I can't fault either pair. I know it's a bit of an outlay for 2 pairs of boots but given the mileage/wear is split between them, the cost will even itself out.

    I use supertech R's
I have another pair of sidi boots for when it's cold / wet .

I wouldn't use the R's in cold weather. Although they are great boots , my feet would be freeeeezin

Ps I bought my sidis for about £40 used once and they are great .

Sealskinz socks are what you need until you can afford two pairs of boots! Used them for many years with the army when boots got soaked and needed to keep feet dry

I have sidi b2 goretex black & I have Alpinestars s-mx 6 which are also goretex...

Both are totally waterproof. Sidi's for me have a slight edge on the feel etc, but a/stars are a little warmer in winter.

Both great boots and both similar prices.

Got a pair of Gaerne gp1 recently, most comfortable boot ive worn.

Prices have come down a bit recently, think they can be had for less than 200 on ebay.

I find that race/track boots just don't last.
Killed a pair of sidis, 3 pairs of SMX Plus and Dainese Torque pros, if is not zips its the velcro or the soles wearing through.

Opted for a pair of Daytona Strives GTX, absolutely waterproof but breateable so didnt find them too warm during the summer.
