Anybody care to part with a small amount of heat reflective tape? Maybe two feet or so. I don't want to buy a full roll for what I need it for. This stuff: Cool-It Thermo Shield Tape - Demon Tweeks
Thermo-Tec : Aluminized Heat Barrier if you phone them up, they'll supply you with the size you need etc... Nice guys! iirc, it was about £20 for mine.
Thanks Si. Have you bothered to put any around the S link pipe? Unfortunately my lower fairing is stuck onto the pipe but hopefully I can get it off tomorrow when there some heat going through the pipe and dress it a bit then get some of the reflective tape on it.
No mate. Just used it completely covering the inside of the bellypan. Does the trick, and keeps heat away big time.
Ok mate, I will also pack out the top fairing bolt with some washers to try and bring it away from the pipe a bit.
I've got some adhesive heat reflecting tape (Used on gas work), pm me your address and i'll bung some in the post for you
For anyone looking at this, the tape we use for the gas work stuff (rated over 100 degrees) is this 50mm x 45m Self Adhesive Aluminium Silver Foil Heat Reflecting Insulation Tape | eBay Used it on the blade pan and no damage and on my sealed SV650 Track Belly Pan when i had that too. Cheers Pete
