Hiya everyone. What a crap day today with this awful weather! BUT!!! It was a much better day yesterday when I collected my new bike. I have just traded my 2011 ZX6R for a 2009 Repsol Blade with a few upgrades. Awesome bike and very pleased with it. A Repsol blade has always been my dream bike and after having test rides on a 2012 Blade and KTM RC8 the other week, I decided to take the plunge. To be honest ( I know you Honda Guys will laugh! ) there was nothing wrong with my Ninja. It was a great bike, but once I saw this Blade in the showroom I had to have it!!
Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your time here. P.s the photo police will be along very soon wanting a look at the evidence
Welcome to the forum The blade will be all the bike you will ever need. So easy to ride at any speed. Super smooth and the torque makes it easy to cruise if need be, or tear the arms off you at a whim. I only went in for a quick look when I bought mine
Welcome to the, envied by others, Repsol brotherhood, (and girlhood Hudson) see how long you can hold out from the pressure to post pics?
Yep me too. I was actually going to tool station in Marsh Barton when I bought mine. Just around the corner from Bridge Motorcycles. It was my missus that said "let's have a quick look in Bridge before we go home". Honest. Welcome to the forum Salemsport, from another west countryman.
Yeah ColinBR. That's exactly what I thought after riding the Blade. The KTM was a nice bike, but not for riding slow around town. The box is very notchy and doesn't like finding neutral. Where as on the Blade I immediately felt comfortable on it. And I needed a bike that I can cruise around on, use to commute to work on odd days and feel comfortable on for long ride outs! And thanks for the nice welcome. I will put some pics up soon.
Having seen the bike I can vouch for how good it is.....and the sound is awesome, nice to see you here Simon.
Cheers John. I am in love with the sound of it, that Akra exhaust is the nuts. Plus I have to keep stopping myself just sitting in the garage looking at it!
Don't forget to have a look at the members map thread, plus there is a group for West Country members where we try and get information of events to any members in feasible range.
Greetings!!! Another North Somerset 'Blade owner...... the area is fast becoming a hot-bed of 'Blade ownership! We will have to organise a local forum meet up when the weather returns.
