Hi I have 2010 "Brogie" rep and it has recently developed a Fault! It is hard to start when hot and then misfires for a short period after. It will occasionally misfire (stutter/cough!) totally randomly. The rev counter needle on tick over is not steady, but fluctuates up and down between 1100-1300 rpm. I'm wondering if it might be battery related as it is the original and has always seemed sluggish to turn over, but always fired up after 1-2 seconds, never an instant start like my old "929"!? Any ideas much appreciated Dan
Did you sort this? I'm having similar issues with 2008 blade. Normally starts fine but once it's up to operating temperature it starts misfiring. I've seen a couple of threads online about either vacuum hoses being blocked or sensors connections. Anybody have any ideas?
Misfires caused by hot temps can be really hard to trace folks, some things to look at are the coolant temp switch, spark plugs as well as the coil packs for each cylinder to name but a few common check points.
Spent an hour on the bike last night. Removed Power Commander. Double check all connections on and around air box. Bike was absolutely fine on the way to and from work. I think the problem is solved. I'm putting this down to the PC. Gonna try and return it.
