I have always struggled with the tank shape in terms of feeling secure & locked in; this cover is much better, if a bit square looking.

 

Lovely, I love my Thruxton, set of aftermarket pipes and you are riding in the land of your fathers(Well mine at least, heading towards 50 and my old man was 56 when he had me He would have loved the Thruxton. Lovely Lovely.

 

How's the fit etc??

 

Not perfect; but it is a race item. It has a seam which joins the two halves together & the fit around the fuel cap is not as good as the oem cover. It's acceptable depending on your expectation I guess.

 

Think it looks awesome mate. I'd like one of these for the track bike... Much better look IMO.
