I would like to purchase a pair of green and white Alpinestars monster gloves.
I can only find them on eBay, located in the USA.
What I would like to know is; how much do you pay apart from cost and postage? Do you have to pay import tax and how much is this and who do you pay it to?
Does it take forever to obtain the goods. Thanks.

Its like paying vat so depends on sale value, you can quite often not get charged, normally the carrier sends a bill direct to yourself or the person you buy from can pay it on your behalf. I've received stuff in 3/4 working days.

Below a certain value and you don't pay anything for import

Getgeared, ghostbikes.com and motorcycle-superstore.co.uk all sell the alpinestars monster gloves mate.

Failing that, I'm in the states at the moment, if you can find a dealer close to Orlando I can pick them up and bring em back. Gift me the paypal afterwards. I'm here for another week.

    Is it these ones?
M20 AIR GLOVE from Alpinestars Technical Apparel

Or these? Prices are about £15 -£20 cheaper here than UK

I imported a helmet from the US a few years ago, I had to pay import tax, but no VAT (I think) a saving of about £150 on UK price. Main reason was not only the saving but colours/design were not available in the UK.

That would be fantastic. The large size mainly black and white with green bits, cost about £149 .

Let me know what the outcome with ghostbikes is Guy. If no good then there's a dealership about half an hour from where I am that has them listed at $199 which at current exchange rate is about £125. Looks like they're in stock according to the website, so I can call in over the weekend whilst the other half lounges round the pool.

Took some closeup pictures of the two sets of gloves I ordered if anyone is interested. Both models are touchscreen compatible.

    Alpinestar GP Air Glove

Extremely comfortable but not 100% leather and is more of a summer glove. Still have quite good protection and I've never had a glove so comfortable on the first fit. A lot of this has to do with the elastic in between the fingers so you don't get the tight feeling you get with new full leather gloves. Touchscreen pads on the index finger and thumb.

    Alpinestar SP-2 Glove, 2014 model

Full gauntlet glove and I haven't had a ride with them yet. The left seems to fit a little different than the right but the fit is still very good. More protection than the GP Air and more you typical full glove. Touchscreen pad only on the index finger.

I would much appreciate this arrangement. Large size please. I will pay via any method when you get back to Blighty.
    Thanks, The Great Guy.
