Strange that your bike came with Dunlops, really strange as the tyre that should be on the 2015 Fireblade is the Bridgestone S20 and is quoted as the Bridgestone being fitted in all the brochures.

I went for the NON ABS too and for exactly the same reasons as you did, I just didn't want to risk having the same issues as others and spoiling an otherwise great bike.

I looked closely at the Aprillia RSV, but I found the riding position very track orientated and felt like I was hanging over the front of the bike, the blade is a much more relaxed seating position.

Bike goes in tomorrow for it's first service, I felt the pain of 600 miles and resisting the temptation to pin the throttle to make sure I'd ran it in properly (As many have said, it probably makes no difference how you run them in, but I wanted to play it safe).

Helmet : It's perfect for a Repsol bike. Amazing how many people have asked me about it, but I recently tried to find another to buy, but it appears they're no longer available in the Orange, White and Black.

SORRY SORRY SORRY, I was wrong, don't know what I'd got in my head, it was only today when I noticed that indeed my 2015 blade has Donlop Qualifier II's on.

Today I went out for an "Enthusiastic Ride" with my buddy on his Aprillia RSV, now I'm don't claim to be a fast rider, I'm a straighliner compared to some of the riders on here, but on one occasions I came in a bit hot on a roundabout and had to use my rear brake, the rear wheel started to lock up really easily. Much easier that it would have done on my 2011 blade with Bridgestone S20's on. Not overly impressed with the Dunlops at the moment.

Confused.com as to why the rear locking up is a tyre issue

Normal disclaimer that I am a complete numpty when it comes to such matters though

Just that I've rear braked in similar situations on my 2011 bike fitted with Bridgestone S20's and it wouldn't have locked.
