Just back from a stag do weekend and had heard about the Si andrews crash but then saw the footage. Poor fella slid headfirst into curb I hope he is alright but that looks like possibly major neck/spine injuries..... vid removed
Hope he makes it through this, road racing is the most amazing sport to watch but these guys can pay the ultimate price ! lets just hope Si makes a full recovery.
I don't want to upset anyone but maybe posting the accident is a bit distasteful.. Any chance of it being removed?

Sure.. I'm with you 100 percent but just think with simon fighting for his life it's not appropriate.. Hopefuly we will be watching this in a few months with him providing some commentary over it .. I know he has a few friends on here that won't want to see the accident.. I can't believe some idiot would upload it on the first place. It's horrendous ..
Totally agree with Nav tbh - we all love talking about great moves, races, amazing saves etc etc.... but unfortunately racing does have the flip sides and one is crashing, which in road racing normally has terrible consequences. imo it's what makes it exciting and attracts the guys that do it. Dont think it's distasteful, it's happened, and i think all Nav done was wish the fella well tbh, but was realistic with the fact that it doesn’t look like it'll be a good outcome based on the video evidence that’s put on mainstream media sites.... Do not think it should be removed. I've seen pics of mangled feet and skin ripped off folks back on here but in the name "wear leather for safety" it's stayed on.... maybe amend the thread title saying bad crash footage so everyone has a choice to view?
I think the video plays as a good reminder of the risks we all face on the road on a daily basis, curbs, lamp posts, signs, bus stops etc etc ! and graphicaly illustrates that we are not immortal. I for one will be riding home from work today with all of this in mind ! which can only be a good thing in my view. Although I fully understand others feelings on this matter, I think this one should stay
He's still critical.... Simon is our local hero from here in Evesham and like many others I hope he gets through......and calls time as he's had more than his share of bad luck...
Well as far as the vid goes I'm spilt............but to be honest YouTube was where I looked first when I read he had come off......in fact most of his crashes are on there...... I'm actually surprised he's still racing...
Wishing him all the best. That did look very nasty tho Not sure of the cause yet - judging from the marshal's reactions, it obviously happened a bit up the road from where the vid takes place...
Terrible crash, hope he pulls through thoughts are with his family. Amazed he wasn't killed outright the impact looks horrendous.
