Oil change time

Hello all,

I am sure this has been covered many times but is Motul 5100 10/40 ok for my 1000rr rr9?? Used to use in my R1.

 

I'm using Motul 7100 10/40 Fully Synthetic in my SP and gearbox is silky smooth

 

I got told not to use fully synthetic in my 08 R1 if only used on roads?

I would like to use what ever is best for it. The only thing I dont like about bike currently is the click from front sprocket area when rolling on / off throttle.
