The rentech should only be used with the seat i believe Sam.
    Re the extensions.
I always get the fookin things the wrong way round. 'second time lucky'
You may also Need to elongate the holes a bit, to give a little extra movement for aligning it all up,great piece of kit though. Makes fittng the Krieger straps etc a piece of wee wee :)

Yours doesn't look a mile off, the spacers appear to be the right way round. (Longer towards the back of the bike)

That thread does seen a little high though, they don't sit flush but that does look excessive. Seem to remember a washer on the original fixings, have you used it between the spacer and the subframe?

Just been out to the garage as mine's still on from the tour (haven't even washed the bike yet)

They do take a little persuading, don't tighten any of the bolts other than the spacers until you've began the thread on all of them.

Good luck getting it sorted - just annoying when your 5 min task turns into a project!

Use a stud extractor, reverse thread thing,to get that out without damaging bike. You'll need to buy replacement bolts, don't search for renntec bolts. You'll need the size of bolt ie M6 x 15mm. If you're not sure of the sizes pm me and I'll measure mine tomorrow for you. I've bought loads of bolts of eBay before this way. A slightly better option is to use Probolt as the bolts are better finished but more expensive. Lastly, when you get new bolts don't put them on so tight, they just need light pressure on the Allen key to fit.
