    Just seen the news that Sir Stirling Moss has passed away
    A true legend in motor sport

    One of my boyhood heroes and I had the good fortune to meet him a couple of times.

    Absolute gent and fitting that the tag legend really does apply to him.

    Hoping there’ll be a life history program pulled together and aired on the box - he is/was a true legend from the golden era of motorsport

    A true legend indeed.
    It was always a saying when I was growing up and my folks saw someone driving fast, "Who do they think they are, Stirling Moss?" In all honesty I say it too now, but my kids / grandkids don't know what I'm on about :)

    He caused a big furore a few years ago when he said he didn't think women had the mental aptitude to race hard enough to win in F1.....I don't think he'll be getting proved wrong any time soon.

    He also survived falling down his own lift shaft well into his 80's....Legend :D.
