Do any of you guys know the requirements to do some road racing like at the southern 100 for example? Done a search and can't find the info. Do you have to be national?? Cheers
Found out- Depends what roads you boys fancie Olivers mount , southern 100 and armoy just require a national , nw 2000 manx and tt require international or mountain course
Was going to say that you need a national licence first for most road races and then an international for the big races.
This is something I am aiming for in 2015 as I only have one more signature to get for my national. You will also need (once you have your national) to have held it for 6 months before the event in question and then do i think 3 or 4 races to get your signatures. With the Manx, you will need a budget of about £4,000 for the event, plus you will need to do several trips over there to learn the course in a hire car and also attend the newcomers weekend. I am aiming to do the Southern 100 this coming year, so will keep you posted.
