Is there any way of telling if the steering damper is working properly I have had the bike three weeks now so I'm getting used to it now but if I'm powering out of a tight bend the steering shakes its head nothing to scary but all my previous bikes had manual dampers that I could adjust myself just wondering if the dampers working properly or just par for the course for this bike thanks. Oh by the way its a 10 plate.

Turn the ignition on put in first gear and turn the handle bars really quickly the hesd light should come on and you'll feel resistance on the bars, if that's not right give Arthurbikemad a pm and he can explain how to do it as he showed me

The original owners handbook will have a section on the HESD damper and how you can adjust it either to stiffen at certain revs or certain speed
Also worth checking rear shock settings, if incorrect its a coomon cause of a head shake when coming onto the gas, may need stiffening up a bit.
