As in american southwest tour mentioned in the other post on this section, need a sporty( hahaha) tourer, with a bit of umph that will take me and mrs plus luggage on big tour of us southwest, I dont like big heavy bikes that you have to fight round corners so the best they can offer (eagle riders) is BMW R1200rt or Honda st1300.
    Your views would be welcome.

For me it would be the BMW K1200 rt

Honda Blackbird is also a great bike, but Honday unfortunately don't make them anymore.
I just got rid of mine and will get another or the BMW once the girlfriend is able to go pillion again.

My wife has done many 1500 mile trips to Irish road races on the back of my Buell S1 (single seat) siting on the rock hard slippy fairing, strangely she prefers this to the back of the blade even though it has a seat, in her words 'its like being perched like a fecking meerkat on a 150mph mole hill':).......so she has agreed to compromise from her ideal of an arm chair on wheels as she does like the raw feel of the buell and the fact that she can get her knee down too.....top lass:D

More like she's just having one long 1500 mile Orgasm on that hard vibrating bodywork! [IMG]

K1300S. Very comfy and the more sporty than the heavy tourers (or "cars on 2 wheels" as I call them!)
