Buying the fireblade this last year has made me realise its not a bike for wet roads so me and few pals decided we’re going to get a few cheap off road enduro bikes for the local green lanes, living on the edge of the Peak District it would be rude not too and Wales 45 mins away too! Been looking at off road bikes and they’ve gone through the roof especially road legal bikes but was scouring the web and this ktm 450 exc popped up 12 mins before I found it, paid £1800 for it and its actually very clean and unabused for an off road bike. The guy gave me a new tyre and full service kit and original plastics too. He was going to mot it but I wanted to take it at weekend so I’ll put one on myself this week, insured it last night for £90 with no ncb lol Today I gave it a service and swapped the original plastics over and swapped the new tyre over. Not going to do much other than a graphics set and then go out and have some fun when I can’t get out on the fireblade!
Have a look at MCN Grafix for some decals unless you're set on KTM originals. EDIT: Bike looks sweet, actually they both do.
Like it! Folk that don't have a dirt bike in their living room are weird. Looks like a fine pandemic purchase. I've read Earth Abides and seen Mad Max - best to be prepared.
Set valve clearances up, carbs had a service and a few bits inc a sticker kit and been out a good few times now it’s cracking little bike! So much fun on the lanes!
