I've had a SkyLift for years, ideal for occasional use. They do a swingarm kit for it too.
The only caution I'd say is getting used to assembling it around the bike. You fit the near side pump part first, then have to swop sides to fit the rest. If you don't pay attention the bike could fall away from you. I made a prop stand that goes in the off side swingarm pivot bolt and reassures me the bike cant fall over. Overall, 10/10.

When I looked into getting one this was the biggest concern for me, I was going to get a front wheel chock to help with it

It's a real risk, first time using it I stopped and made the prop.

If you put your bike on a paddock stand first it takes all the risk away.

If you don't have one then put the left side on the bike first and put the wheel brakes on, then do the right.

Yes a paddock stand would work similarly to my prop thing.
However since making it my prop is probably my most used stability tool. Ideal for checking oil, quick jobs where I want the bike upright and not leaning on the side stand.

I have one of these £30 from M&P or Bikerbits cant remember which, used to do it via left side brakes on abba lift then right side it is a bit unnerving, it also helps with the height with the ZZR has you have to move the height bolts on the lift so it goes lower down by an inch, but the wheel chock make it so much easier.
