just a quick heads up about Dobles in Coulsdon, if your buying a new Honda then they are extremely good and always sort you out with the minimum of fuss but their service department unfortunately doesn't live up to this standard as they are always to busy to ring you up to inform you if your bikes ready even when they promise to do so on three separate occasions, maybe if they weren't so busy their customer relationship might improve!!!!

    Hmm dobles...

When I first walked through the door it was almost like it was an inconvenience for someone to come and say hi but after a walk around and nose for 15 minutes. I started to move the bike I wanted to look at as I was getting bored and then a chap come over and started to talk to me anyway that was Paul and from what I gather he's the owner.
From that moment on I had spot on service from them. He talked me through the blade and spec as I didn't know a lot about them. And I left a happy chappy owner of a blade. And to the day I have always had good contact, verbally and email response even when I had issues with the bike.

First ride out the bike was HORRENDOUS. Braking was vile and shuddered to a stop. So I rung them up and they took it back instantly and gave me a courtesy bike. I ended up with new pads, discs, and both callipers refreshed. (Stuck seal messed the whole front end up)

But also I went to put some paddock bobbins in, and to my surprise there is a snapped bolt inside the frame and long story short they couldn't get it out! Pissed me right off but they gave me R&G offset bobbins.

Overall I think they are good and I would return just a couple of buggerboos that annoyed me.

Presume this wasn't a new bike then Jamie? So there is a snapped off thread in the swingarm bobbin point and they haven't removed it...... That wouldn't be good enough for me I'm afraid.

Firstly I must chime in, Paul is indeed a great salesman but does seem to understand as well that a happy customer is a returning customer.
I can't complain about Paul at all, he was instrumental in helping me exchange the ABS blade that I hated (bought from them and i carried on with it, in the hope it would grow on me...wrong) for the non ABS version that I have now.
It sounds easy but I had the bike for a year, still had 3 yrs finance on it, dropped it in the ice, scratched it all up etc etc
The wrangling and hoops Paul jumped through to make it affordable and the bike i wanted was impressive.
I was VERY IMPRESSED and I am now WELL HAPPY!
    ..on the other hand,
I had my first service done on my ABS blade by them despite the 120 mile round trip. (buy it there, service it there I thought) - all fine but its not exactly a hard service is it?
Then I had the issues with my ABS so I was back again (120 miles) they did what Honda tell them to do (err hmm) but when I got the bike back home in the light I noticed some weird gaps in the fairings in a few places. I ring them up, they apologise and say bring it back they'll do it.
ok another 120 miles......I think by now you get the picture.
Paul on Sales = Brilliant, Customer Care = Excellent, A few in the service dept = must try harder

Its for these reasons I now service my current bike myself.......after all I love the bike more than them so I care more.

Was Paul I dealt with when I bought my new blade and got great customer service. Worked out a fantastic deal with quite a few bits extra and free delivery as I'm 500 miles away from them. When time comes I will not hesitate to call again and hopefully work out another great deal:)
