I assume that means you didn’t ding your lid in your recent triple toe loop and salchow move with the BMW - the more I look at the photos of the bike and car the more I’m amazed you came away relatively unscathed. No point you buying a lottery ticket for a good while as you’ve had your quota of luck for now.

And I look after it, careful where I lay it, cleaned after every ride and kept in the helmet bag on its own little table :(

That's a bit rubbish then. Wouldn't expect things to be breaking off a premium lid after that time!

Presumably they're fobbing you off onto their pinlock supplier, you'll probably get a solution by 2022 :D Best make a hanging basket out of it and buy an x spirit 3 :p ;)

It means they’re telling the UK distributor to get in contact with you - which would be quicker and easier than sorting it from Italy.

Xlite have a 5 year warranty - why didn’t you go back to where you bought it?

I've not had good luck with my brand new 803 ultra carbon either, I was going out a run on Sunday and just as I was about to put it on my misses shouted me from in the house so I spun around and hung it on the mirror only to hear it clatter to the ground and bounce off of the monoblock it has now got a big scrape on it and I think I'm going to have to bin it

I've had 3 now, 2 x 803 Ultra Carbon's, one I head butted a Mondeo Estate and the road in and now a 903 Carbon and not had any issues. Maybe you've been unlucky and it was a Friday afternoon job.

What's the 903 like? Planning on a new lid this year once I get house move and job change sorted. Seen it on Sportsbikeshop and it looks interesting.

Really like it. The first 803 I had was decent, quality was good and the carbon looked ace. Then the 2nd one they redesigned the chin area, elongating it and but they also seemed to improve the quality. The problem I had using it with a naked bike was the chin area used to let in a load of turbulence and splattered flies. So I flogged it and bought the 903 Carbon.

The build quality is spot on, the interior's really nice and it's got all the bells and whistles now. You can even adjust the lining to fit, cheek pads pull out, internal sun visor for days you get caught out and the best part is it's quiet. Oh and the magnetic visor's really good. Pull down the tab on each side and it releases, hover it back near the point and to slaps itself back on. It's a rounder shell shape compared to the 803 but it's not bowling ball looking.
