Hello all As per the rules (and as politeness dictates) I thought that I'd introduce myself. My name is Stu (I'm guessing you'd figured that out all ready), I've been riding for a couple of years on my trusty SV650S and loving it. However I've now decided to buy a bigger toy and gone for the grandchild of the beast that got me interested in motorbikes all those years ago: I put a deposit down last night on an 08 blade (black and burgundy) that has come straight from Honda and only done 1500 miles. It's essentially a new bike and completely original. I can't wait. Unfortuanatly I have to as I won't be getting it until the 3rd of September. So, whilst I count down the hours until I can take her out for a spin, I though that I'd try and find out all the tips, tricks and pitfalls that you seasoned Bladers have already come across to give me a head start. I look forward to becoming one of you in a month .

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It is going to be a long wait but I get a week off after picking it up so I'll make up the road time then Ashblade - I'd have loved a b&w one too, but didn't find one at the right price. I'm loving the one I've got though so I'm happy! I look forward to possibly meeting some of you in the future, and hopefully make some new friends. Cheers All
