Went out a ride today with a couple of mates. We left my place after setting up the suspension on my mates HRC blade. He weighs next to F all and was complaining about it being to stiff. Anyway from my place we took the road to Ayr via a few cracking roads that get the giggle switch going, then we took the scenic route to Gretna Green before stopping off for a bite to eat and drink, before heading back the same route. Love this road as its full of fast sweeping roads for absolute miles, totally deserted, and being the scenic route, it wasn't too unpleasant on the eyes. Mates HRC Other mates SV650. (soon to be a blade) Last but not least. Mine
Your's bike looks great nice rearsets, and this exhaust cover/shield looks very well, is it Akrapovic made or meaby Leo vince?
It's the Loe Vince carbon heat shield mate. Fits really well with the Akra and the weave from the carbon isn't too far off either. It's a must with the Akra pipe as it tidied up the pipe work nicely.
you should arrange an 'end of season Borders run' for mid October - there is a Hotel place (think in Moffet ) where each bike gets its own lock up for the night to keep your bike safe and bike gear out of rooms - roads I went on today were stunning in the area.
Any chance you can find out what the hotel is? Sounds like a plan I'd be more than happy to see a few of you guys up here to check out the roads I haunt. There's so many good roads in that area that just scream out to be exploited.
Buccleuch Arms Hotel Moffat - Biker Friendly Accommodation And it is in Moffat! - weather always a challenge but doing something before the clocks change best idea - or hold for Spring - but know how Winter can linger in that area till April / May time
Jeez. We sit outside there with our fish n chips and never even knew it was a biker B&B. Just shows u how much I know. I'd be up for setting this up no probs. I'll start a thread this week to judge interest and take it from there. Thanks.
