    Tablet that is

I fancy a 7" tablet and was looking at the upcoming kindle fire HD

I want it for web browsing, Movies, Music and Apps like most people.

So anyone know much about them and I heard good things about the Nexus 7

Again anyone have experiences or know much ?

I hear good things about it....

Been using my iPad3 for six months now and tbh the more I use it the more I feel my hands are tied! For example tonight I win multiple items on eBay and the eBay app will not let you pay for them combined and asked to go to a full browser so off to safari to open eBay and iOS6 has gone back to the VERY small eBay screen, no way of pulling down the purchase history tab to pay...so off to my desktop PC again...

Also I've found that most image hosting sites don't offer the plug in for iOS too, even my Andriod phone does it! Robs sites support iPad very well tbh his sites like this one are ace on the iPad but many don't. Am I slating the iPad No I'm just pointing out that its not all its cracked up to be its good at most but not as flexible as some of the new Tablets! I'd never have another Apple device again and am interested to see what people think of the Nex7

I have a ipad 1 and my daughter a Ipad 2. BUT the wife has taken a like to my ipad and the main reason for wanting my own. I was not sure with the Kindle fire how the app store works and if I can just upload a movie i have acquired like I can with my ipad.

aS I have a Android mobile I know about Google play so the Nexus would be simple to use. but the fire HD seems a very good table for the money

I keep going on about the iPad but I think Apple users that have not used Android devices don't realise how restrictive iOS can be! I'd like to have a look at the new tablet, go on Remel get one and test it out for us....lol

Sidestepping any iOS v Droid wars, definitely have a good play with a 7 incher (*cough*) as they are significantly smaller in real estate than 10" tablets.

After having both there's no way I'd go back to 7" now as browsing, games and movie watching are much, much better on a 10" than a 7.

I always seem to start the Apple debate, always hard to get across that I am happy with the iPad it's just that when you NEED to do something it always seems that iOS gets in the way of simple things.. Apple can say what they want about shock wave etc etc but real world take a look around on the net how restricted you can be on an iPad, no pull down menus like eBay or common sites, no right click, and so on...simple stuff IMO that ruins the iPad! It's SUCH a shame as the iPad is awsome all the rest of the time..

In one. As long as I treat mine like an iPad, it's brilliant. The moment I forget and treat it like a personal computer it bites me in the arse, (which I believe there is an app for)

Ok, we've covered this before with regards to apple restrictions.
If want apple, but don't want restrictions, then jailbreak the thing! That's why these Developers create such software. The potential of most apple products, is incredible.
If that doesn't appeal to you, then look elsewhere.
Kindle will be restricted due to its processing power, screen and size. Nexus- jury out if this will be a contender! Galaxy Tab, possible iPad beater. Low on board memory will scupper, but ability to add more is so much of a one up on iPad. There are more on the market, android and windows based.
My advice is to try these out. Do some research on net, comparisons on you tube etc. I personally do not like the resistive screen on the Samsung, and the iPad ticked all the boxes for me as I'm fully prepared to jailbreak it. I have no issues with browsers, flash etc.
Hope that all makes sense ;)
