Jesus ,,,, That was close , It don't matter how good of a rider you are , Its the other bloody road users you gotta watch out for . An 82 year old man pulled out on me and i T-boned his car. It was lucky i was only doing 40mph otherwise i doubt id be here today. The police took his licence of him as his eye sight was so poor he was unfit to drive .

I've never been taken out by another road user thank god ( then touches wood ) but around 18 months ago I was out on the bike going round a large local round thats a bit unsited due to trees planted in the middle. Next thing i've got a German tourist bus heading straight for me with the driver waving his fist at me, thing was he was coming around it in the wrong direction!!
Heart in mouth moment for sure!!

Christ, it almost looks like he was aiming at him.

I had one tonight coming out of Torbay. I clocked this guy coming out of a side junction and it looked like he was looking right at me, but as I got closer and he came out further across my nose I could see that rather than looking out he was looking for his bloody seat belt.

Plus, as I posted on Sunday I had a geezer in a van, waving at me to get over as he came onto my side of the road around a line of parked cars just around the corner from my house. We ended up nose to nose so I got off the bike and leant in his window to tell him my view and he said I could have mounted the pavement! I did, afterwards, feel a bit guilty about the young family who were just getting out of their car to go to church, considering the language that ensued, but I got over it quick.
