Ohhhh..... Well he aint from Sparta..Trackdays have become extremely popular the last couple years in SA. RSR challenges ones talents and fitness. A slow circuit that requires good fitness. Most corners are double apex and youre cranked over a lot of the time. billiard table smooth with the best grippy surface in the country. Motorcycles only! No kitty litter, runoff is fairway sized, when you run out of talent, just pick it up and ride on.There are barely any reference points, no buildings, grandstands or landmarks. Makes learning the track a bitch. You get free laughs watching 1st timers getting lost. Really! Leads to a lot of moaning and riders hating the track.800-900m straight that puts your brakes and nerves to the test. Fireblade brakes, ebc hh + goodridge hoses are absolutely the dogs danglies.245kmh + .. Tap off as you pass 200m marker, clamp at the 150m marker into 90 deg right left chicane. Maniacal cackling as you pass Brembo shod Gixxers and S1000s... Well thats just me. My last trip the GoPro picked up the front D211 GP Racer squealing under braking. (hmm lots of brand promos in this post)Back to the track... Designed to run in both directions. 6 months clockwise and then anti clockwise.Track facilities... movie room for kids as well as pools. Ocassional Buffet breakfasts cheap... Not a good idea to pig out..The next day you will feel like you had the crap kicked out of you.I believe the Fireblade is the ideal bike to hone your track skills onFully kitted I weigh 110kg and on a road 2007 Fireblade I am the fastest non racer/road bike at RSR (probably at Zwartkops Raceway as well)Bold claim, but i havent bought beers afterwards in 2 years hahaha.....(the above is bait to get more free beer)
