OK I'm using the '49 model but I hoped it was well maintained... My feet seem to be getting clumsy on the bike. Several 'am I going to tip it over?' moments recently. Accuracy of steering and braking fine. I can still do the cat's-eye shimmy, crank it well over on a high speed bend and hold the planned line and stop on a dot on the road but the low speed control is poor the moment the feet lift off the pegs. More practice needed or refurbished ankle servos? Opinions/advice please.
Personally I’d not bother with vairo bars. It’s not enough of a difference. My advice is go for the ABM kit the blade is nice and light to start with. Nigel not sure how old you are, but I’ve been hearing of a couple of older guys locally being refused insurance when changing bikes. One chap late 70’s took his cbr600 of the road for a year whilst looking after his wife. The other early 80’s had to replace his rusty C90 with a ct125 refused. I think it sucks, but elder riders might want to have a game plan like having a smaller bike insured and waiting in the wings.
Yep. That definitely sucks. Nothing quite like shedding a few years when you get your leg over - the bike that is.
