    Hi All,

Maybe the christmas fairy came to Kent for the festive season !

I need a bit of advice on possible purchase of CBR1000RR-A
2012 model. Can you tell me what the difference is between the models marked A - C ect ??

Currently riding an 05 Z1000 but fancy a change. Any advice would be more then welcome,

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the welcome !

I was wondering why Some more recent 2012 bikes are sold as CBR100 RRC for instance and why there is a big difference in price even for 2012 models it seems that you can pay from 8000 up to 11000 plus

Hi Mtbucket and welcome to the site,

As I understand it the number after the letters RR on older bikes and the letter on newer bikes denotes the year eg CBR1000RR9 is a 2009 model and a CBR1000RRA is a 2010 model and so on. Normally the letters ABS or CABS follow if the bike is equipped with 'assisted braking system' or 'combined assisted braking system' or non-ABS/ non-CABS if not.

I wouldn't have thought you could buy a new 2012 (C) model for any less than £10k to be honest but I may be corrected on that.

Whatever year you choose I'll guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

    Good luck with your search.

    I don't think I've ever seen a Fireblade sold as a CBR100RR? Maybe a CBR1000RR ;)

Welcome to the club, get your pics up before someone throws a hissy fit (e en if it is a Kwaka) :D

Welcome aboard MTB, rra 2010 rrb 2011 rrc 2012.rrcmodel had lots of changes, beefier forks, different rear shock, lighter wheels, different bodywork, better dashboard.I've ridden both and both are brilliant machines. It comes down to £££'s and what you prefer. Older model 10 to 11 are still out there being sold at heavily discounted rates. If you are unsure of what you are buying look under the passenger seat there will be a sticker telling you what model it is.The honda dealer didnt tell me what model mine was, so used this to haggle even more with them when I put the deposit down.I bought a rra in november 2011.

    HI,

Thanks for all your replies, this has helped me with my quest. I was looking at a CBR1000A, so a 2010 model but on a 12 plate. Price is around the £7200.00 mark. Superb condition with low miles What are your thoughts on this ?? A good deal ???

    Thanks.

Hey mtbucket, welcome to the forum mate! Seems like a fair price from limited knowledge I have but as ever I guess it really depends on specific mileage, condition and mods etc! Great model though and I'm sure you'll soon forget what you paid for it once you're grinning under your lid!!! Lol ;)

Well the one I was after has been sold (boo hoo)

So I will start my search again, no hurry to buy one. If you see a nice 2010 with gold wheels in HRC colours let me know :)

    Thanks for the warm welcome,

    Cheers, Mtbucket.
