Just bought some Oxford soft luggage and fitted it to the bike, followed the instructions but it doesn't look or feel very safe. If you have it fitted to your bike do you use extras straps or something else to make it safe? Pics would help if you could.

I used to use Oxford Soft Luggage, I take it you're referring to the panniers. They should be fitted using the straps under the pillion seat then there should be some more straps to be fastened to the rear pegs. I think they are best used with a pillion to be honest but they never really felt that secure. Post some pics of your own Bardo and lets have a look. Never had any problems with quality though.

If going with a tent or such like I always put tent on top of panniers and then use bungees to secure, always been safe and secure

I had to fab a simple bracket to keep them in place & to stop them wanting to slip down & under.

I had them on for a 4 day trip but returned them to the shop afterwards; two zips broke & the covers tore themselves to bits.

You can have the one I made if you like; its not the best but did the trick.

You would need to collect it from Stockport.
