Well just come back from my first day of training since passing my test 2 yrs ago

i2i Motorcycle Academy : About Us

I can totally recommend these guys, a lad called Tom took the course which was at Rufforth airfield today

They take you through some basic rider myths, gyroscopics of your bike wheels and explain what keeps a bike upright and how the rider impacts this. Then you get to test each stage out with some amazing results

I don't want to spoil it for you, but as an example..... I have had my Blade for 4 myths and been riding just 2yrs so not exactly been riding years....

In 5 mins they had me stood on the pegs in Shakey Bryne style at 40 mph with no hands on the bars, and then sat on the pillion seat at the same speed.

It's given me a few bits of key confidence on cornering, braking and general stability and can't wait for the next level in a few months time

    Highly recommended

I've seen the flyers for these guys and looks good value - bit like CSS but way less money as on old airfield not full track.

It does look to give confidence in bike by teaching you the physics of why they don't fall over - Cannot imagine hopping from main seat onto pillion on a blade while moving along but guess it works!

Do you think they would give a group discount ?

It was incredibly easy, no skill just a few runs Dow n the airfield

They book up quickly each year but sure they do one for the club for a good bit of PR

Learnt some good stuff about hard braking and importance of keeping rear wheel spinning and how to turn in circles on full lock
