Sell the wife, the kids, the car, sell everything!!!!! This was one of the best days of my life and I'm 50 and I think I've been round a bit but nothing could prepare for this! YOU NEED TO BOOK NOW!!!! I have never been on track on a bike (done a few car trackdays) and this was something else especially as you can use their bike, leathers, boots gloves everything really so you can keep your own gear as good as new. The organisation and instruction was brilliant, just turn up get briefed and off you go. The first thing they said to us was "these bike are new (CBR 600's) and they have never been hammered so go out and play boys" and did we? So now its time to start saving up for the elite class and the fireblades.
Just got the one pic but will put it on later when I get home. I'll also find the price list and dates plus the different classes.
+1!! I did the Premier class last wednesday - what a day!! The first person i spoke to was Ron Haslam himself! Very much the same for me - first bike track day having done a few in the car and experience days in the past. Cannot recommend the race school enough - great instructors (ended up getting 1-1 tuition as the guy i was paired with needed more work). session three the instructor took a blade out so we could really thrash the bikes! Amazing what you can do on a sports touring tyre! BARDO - I can confirm bike number 10 was ridden hard last week Pics to follow... Sam
I'm also back in June. Managed to sort out a decent discount for a group booking (around 10 of us) and got the price down to £240 for the premier and £340 for the Elite. Wish I had loads of money to just keep going back! Sam
I was there on the 1st may! I was in group 2 (yellow) on bike No. 4. Great day wasnt it. You get some great instruction on track. I forget to sort my photos out though I filled out the form in the morning but forgot to go back. I'll have to email them.
This gleams with a rare lustre and brilliance. Plus I met Ron at the nec two years ago so that basically makes me not only famous but also an incredibly talented rider. Of all the courses - Walker, CSS etc - I fancy the RH one the most. I think part of it relates to a misty-eyed memory to the man going well on a stock vfr in the rain back in the days. Was it Transatlantic Races?
I did it twice last year! The first time was great as I had 1-1 tuition. Second time was frustrating as I was paired up with a slower rider. I will do the elite course at some point.
