No Jimbo I was talking more about the Terror threat to the UK not to the horrible things that happened yesterday. when this was first posted they were not 100% sure if it was the poor solider who they have now confirmed it was . I was meaning the media had said terror threats to the UK or was it just 2 nutters with a grudge. either way mate, sadly it's a real threat and all the time it's happening on our own soil i dont think there can be enough emphasis on it or the crap situation the country is in. i'm not racist, live and let live, and think the majority of people that come here do for the right reasons and want to be here because they beleive the country is brilliant which in many ways it is, but the way the minority seem to be able to go about their business unchallanged and even protected is a piss take of the highest order!!!
Disregard the politics & religion, as a 'normal' human being i'm just staggered how anyone can do this? Spot on. Unfortunately the tendency after things like this is to get angry and direct that anger in the wrong direction. I've seen a lot of "send-em-all-back" type comments from my facebook friends and such since this happened and it does make me shake my head. Directing your anger at the black or Muslim community is infantile. Blame everyone who looks like or who worships the same god as the guys that did it. It's a simple, broad stroke approach that doesn't require any thinking. Imagine if people assumed that because you're a white English bloke that you must be a child abuser. Must be, right. Mate I got a very broad sense of humor as you know Just hoping people will try and keep the forum a friendly place while discussing matters in the media and of interest. I have a simple view that religion on any scale has killed more people than the black plague. But again I cannot tar everyone with the same brush. And everyone is different. Absolutely. I've got a lot of Irish in my family and my best mate at school was half Irish half Iranian. A lot of the rhetoric bandied about reminds me of some of the stuff that was said against the Irish back in the eighties. Got us nowhere.

I am appalled and sickened by the whole event, and have been touched by what is going on in this sick world we live in. My oldest sons best friends farther and a friend of mine died in Iraq and closer to home Ling was in the tube train behind the one that got blown up on the Piccadilly line during the 7/7 bombings so I get it. I really get it. This has nothing to do with true Islam beliefs. I have mentioned this before; I studied many things in my darkest moments: Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism, you name it, for fcuk sake I would have looked at Clingon if I thought it might have helped.
