Does anyone out there in 1000rr land have one of these lying around please? I got given a HRC hugger but there was no mount bracket for the RHS and Honda want stupid money. Any help gratefully received Thanks
Mount bracket for hugger ? Honda supply them only with little washers and gromits, not a bracket as such. Or at least mine didn't have a bracket and fits perfectly.
I think he's talking about the fitting that attaches where your brake line does to the swingarm. I had this problem - fixed it with a cable tie. Good luck tryna find fittings from Honda for these huggers though, they're like hens teeth. Honda won't sell them to you unless you want a whole new hugger too, at the princely sum of about £280.
Sorry guys, totally crap description. JSB you are right. It is the fitting bracket that attaches to the mounting point for the brake line. You can get them from Honda but they are stupidly expensive for what they are. Has any one local to me have one that I can borrow to measure and photograph so I can cobble together a copy? happy to travel to see it
Totally confused by this. I didn't get a mounting point with my hugger, and the brake line was already on a wee bracket. So only had to remove the fixing, then have the new hugger slide under before re-fixing the screw.
Ratser, see item #3 in the following link Honda Motorcycle Parts / Genuine Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda
Honda don't do an ABS Hugger. However the 'Non-ABS' Hugger fits but is subject to regular 'Heavy Kissing' from the ABS box unless you wack up the preload and don't carry Pillions!
