My wife and I toddled up there yesterday, and had a crackin' day. Took the bikes, with her on her new 600RR. Met a nice chap parked next to me who had just had a new HRC blade for 3 weeks. Also met another guy at a service station on the way who had an older blade, probably an RR3 maybe ? Immaculate, and with a fair few trick bits on it as well. Some top racing, especially the superbikes and supersport. Brilliant weather (I am all sunburnt again), and a nice wee blast home again too. Great day. Anyone else go ?
A bit far from Bristol for me but sounds like a great day and some cracking racing from what I have seen. Hope you pointed the blade owners this way And you had the weather for it. was rubbish this way
Repeated on eurosport at 5:30pm today. Worth a wtch for those who went round during the scotland trip as ive never seen it on tv before.
Hi Duncan is was there too mate! Me and the Mrs done those as well! Did you do the 12.20 grid walk? That's the one we done thanks to MCE insurance! We watched the race from pit wall, were feet away from the podium and got soaked by Shakey's champagne it was absolutely epic
I did the 2nd race grid walk. It was brilliant. I am gutted because I didn't know you could watch the race from the pit after the grid walk.
Yeah I had the bike there mate! I was parked down the bottom! The guy from MCE just kept givin! I don't think it was ment to be part of it, what we got! He was takin pic and video for MCE facebook! I think that's why we got the extras He said we could stand at pit wall and also the podiums I was inches from Kiyo's Blade but it was Josh Brooks passin just a couple of feet away at 170+ with his front wheel never touching down all the way up the straight whilst banked over to the left! An awesome sight and mind blowing show of skill somethin I'll never forget man
He is some man the bold Josh. Couldn't believe the size (or lack of) when I bumped into him at the TT. About an inch smaller than me, and really skinny too. Some rider though. Found myself rooting for him on Sunday, while the wife bought me his Red Torpedo t shirt from the kids for Father's Day.
Yeah he is an awesome rider got a couple of pics... no actually I got shit loads and video but here's a couple of them! My other half used multi shot on my mobiles camera to capture Josh passing at 170+mph!!! Sweet
I think I seen you after the races on my way back up to Aberdeen. Did you have your yellow rain jacket on heading south from the Forth Road Bridge?
No Colin mate that wasn't us, we left just after that race! Me and the Mrs headed for a bar lunch at Yetts O Muchart! We thot the other races would just be an anti climax! And I've got it recorded but we're still buzzing from Sunday mate
Was there on Sunday after a three day tour of Scotland, Glasgow, Oban, Fort William, Loch Ness, Inverness, Grantown on Spey, Braemar Perth, Knockhill then back to Manchester. 950 miles in total. Parked my bike right next to the Samsung truck in the paddock!
Spitting image Trev can't see you giving the hair dryer treatment though your too chilled for that . Hope you are doing ok .
Hi Jason I'm fine mate just enjoying the unusually nice weather up here But I have to say man I'm counting down the days till our next Tour of Scotland it'll be amazing to catch up with you all! I hope all well with you mate
