followed by my head, arse, shoulder, thigh and elbows….

Started off meeting Giv and Tol at eastham, then rode to woods in Abergele….cracking roads and quiet. Pays dividends going out on a weekday instead of weekends. lovely. Then, onto betws via the A55, long route and final exit, but roads are fantastic. Tight, smooth and fast. Then, another stop off at ponderosa in llangollen. On the way, i dropped it. I lost the front quite violently on some patched up road, it seemed like tape, with gravel on the top. The repairers need shooting... it was very loose anyway. Only doing 40 ish and i just went down quicker than roadrunner…. no chance of saving it. Giv was behind me, and just said the front went, and i smacked my head on the road… plastics, leathers and lids are fooked, but thank christ again for engine protection. Bike started up fine, and did another 60 mile at a decent pace home.
Without leathers and a decent old and boots, i would be in a bit of a mess. The arm is swelling and the leathers have holes right through my under garments, cutting my elbows. With just thin bike gear i shudder to think what the damage would be...

It's my first proper off, and in think i did the right thing just getting back on and riding at a decent pace home, and i urge you all to get casing protection, otherwise i would have been fooked..maybe plastic protection too. well worth the money. Anyway, i'll be looking for a right side plastics, front nose and rear plastics, as well as a new yoshi, levers, screen and other odds and sods… Anyone know of any, let me know,
    Cheers.

Anyway, a great ride out, even though i binned it. Wear good gear and get some protection on the bike…. mines just plastics and i don't hurt that much.

Big thanks to Giv for helping me up with the bike, cheers mate you're a star.

Ahhhh shit dude!! I was just thinking nooooooooo. I know exactly how you feel and totally agree the best thing ever was to jump back on her and ride if possible.

Shit happens and the important thing is you're alright!! Accidents are just that accidents. If I can help at all then I'd be happy to.

I have a standard can if the Yoshi has to come off. I've got standard levers if you need them too and a standard screen but if you're anything like me you'll want the goodies back on.

Reminds me I really need to get the casings as I've got a 200quid bill for generator side currently from my off.

If you have any carbon fibre or plastics that need repair bonding my mate can sort that. I bought genuine honda replacement body work but always best to give yorkshiregooner a shout

    All the best fella ;)

Bad news but you have got home and typed up a report - good news in my book.

I have a RH panel in black with very minor damage on top edge - only downside it has hole for R&G sliders but the offer is there, sure i have a screen somewhere too.

    Cannot help on tail unit

For your lid and leathers claim from your house insurance for replacement as these are classed as clothing / personal possessions

Shame the levers aren't Pazzo as we could have bought a pair cheaper and I could have had left lever and you could have taken the right ;)

I don't even want to look at the pictures again. It makes me feel sick.

Si, mate, thank Cliff, you're okay. It's a hateful thing to happen to any of us, but your bike is so cherry, its doubly heart breaking.

But I hear your hair is still perfect so, small mercies, eh...

Bad luck and well done for getting back on; sometimes it's better just to ride and not to think about it, because frankly it's really fecking annoying when you bust up your bike!

Aye, to be fair, i don't really cherish possessions for some reason…. health is far more important. Gutted all the same though. Starting to ache now, and the arm is swelling up…. nowt that a merlot can't sort out!

Yup, just had a look, and i need a side fairing, tank cover, screen, rear plastics, screen, a mirror, new can, engine prot, bar end (This has snapped inside the clip on, do the internals come out?) and new throttle grips. Also need either 2 standard blade indicators (anyone have them???, i can't find mine, and need it for work on weds, hate taking the car) and front plastics… All carbon is untouched apart from the mirror cover which is fekked. I've got a spare lid which is good news. It;s only superficial damage, leathers need replacing or mending though. The gloves, £25 ebay specials with kangaroo are just scuffed…. held up better than the leathers! just goes to show…..

Thanks for your offers of help everyone, means a hell of a lot, but the only things i need ASAP is 2 standard indicators?? The rest can wait until i have time to fit as it still seems rideable…

    Thanks so much.
