Spent 2 hours cleaning the car yesterday. Then was out in a local lane, narrow and steep, see cyclist approaching, slowed down moved over, and as the fecker came past squirted water from his drinks bottle all over the bonnet.

Could not find a place wide enough to turn around for 400yds or so. Finally did, went past him and waited at the next junction and politely casked him for an explanation for his actions.

Think he was rather surprised that I was out the car waiting, so his best punt was that he was indicating my drls were on and the water happened to fly out of the bottle as he pointed.....so not only a tool but a poor liar too. I suggested the clue was in the name ie day running lights.

These tools pay nothing to be on the road, and even when you show them consideration they pull a cocky stunt like that, really wanted to run him over but probably not the best thing to do, hopefully someone else will in something large, problem solved. Rant over.

you always get daft sods on bikes, in cars and cycles. Not forgetting the favorite stupid pedestrians.
I don't blame you for asking him what he was up to

Hi Kentblade, I'm a keen cyclist and have been for many years so please don't think all cyclist are the same. I've past people only for them to come past when I'm stopped at a red light and when I catch them up again I call them t--ts, 95% of them don't even reply back the ones that do I get off and have a go at them. In your situation you should have push him off as he came towards you, I would!

No problem bardo, once at work I cycle everyday between sites in London, I see these tw*ts breaking every road traffic law going. So I am not anti cyclist, just anti c**t

I don't think anything on the actual road way should be there without insurance, and road tax, and an MOT. Cyclists and their gear should be put through the same hoops as the rest of us.
I know several people who've been hospitalised by cyclists in London.

The road tax thing is a myth, I'm afraid the tax is 'Vehicle Excise Duty' and hasn't been 'Road Fund Duty' since the mid '30s. I would like to see some kind of insurance obligation above and beyond household public liability and some kind of mandatory test for proficiency as a cyclist.

I am most scared of the 'cadence' cyclists, who are bound to maintain a fixed pace in order to satisfy some training regime. They tend to be the ones most likely to change lanes, jump lights and cut across you without first checking what is behind them. They do also tend to be the ones most likely to react aggressively when you complain.

Then again i have to put up with the f**kin nobheads in cars who seem to think they own the road, everyday they feel obliged not to indicate, i am all for trying to cross a junction , will they let you know which way they are going, will they fuck. I have even fallen out with the local plod over the matter!. Remember, not all motorcyclists are angels either.
