A couple of times now I have had the FI error come on. Checked it and it is show 35 which according to the bible is EGCV Servomotor Malfunction. Switching the engine off clears the error light, and the bike runs fine when the error light is on.

Had a search and I think I have a basic understanding of what the error may mean. It is normally the exhaust flapper that is the problem, but TBH I think mine was already disconnected as I have a full Akra system. I checked the Haynes manual and they show how to test the motor, but as it is intermittent the chances are the tests would pass unless I got lucky and happened to test it at the right time.

Anyone got any clues/pointers or should I just wait for what ever is causing the problem to fail permanently?

is the cables removed totally from the servo, not getting tangled on anything?

Pretty certain they have been removed as not seen them when working on the bike. Will check it though to make sure.

the 35 alarm is seen sometimes when someone wires the cables
the wrong way round(yes I did it once lol)
its saying the motor has jammed against the stop or ceased cables.
think the actual alarm is something like motor lock.could also be a tooth
broke off inside the servo and jammed it.

Remove to motor and fit a eliminator plug was mentioned in another post to save space for a PCV, might be a solution for you too.

Cheers folks :) Going to contact the previous owner and see what he did to the system when he changed it, an advantage of buying from someone you know.

Servo Buddy sounds much nicer on the wallet then replacing with OEM.

Thought I would revive this thread rather than start a new one. Fully removed the servo motor and fitted a servo buddy over the winter and took it for it's first proper ride today. Was fine this morning on the 45 mile commute, but about halfway home this afternoon I got the dreaded MIL back on.

Did the test and it is showing error 35 again :( It is intermittent again, as it once I switched off it didn't come back again.

I did try flushing all the errors out of the winter but the ecu wouldn't remove the error 35 it had logged.

Not sure what to do from now. I suppose I could be looking at a loom problem or possibly an ECU problem. Anyone able to give me some pointers on where to go from here please.
