Nice pic Lee that's the first I have seen the affected damage, but I fail to see why a two inch piece of carbon fibre or similar was not used as a protective cover over these two important wires!
Ive stopped watching F1 as of couple weeks back, soooo bored of it. A Spanish ( Catalan ) mate made a good point today, could it be Dorna ( spanish ) & Pedrosa ( spanish ) made a joint effort to punish Marquez ( Catalan ) cus he made a point of not waving the spanish flag as there has been alot of pro catalan independent rallies in the north east of Spain lately n this is punishment??? Plus reading bbc Motogp, Steve parish rightly points out, yamaha, to do lorenzo a favour could also have raised it with dorna n safety bods about Marquez riding style so that if he does get penalised he starts from the back of the grid nxt round which of course wud assist lorenzo in winning a race??!! Wots the betting Marquez comes blitzing through the pack like a hot knife through butter n still making it on the podium like he did on the last moto2 race in Valencia!! The G.O.A.T. Has been reborn n will beat alot of Rossi's achievements n go on to b alegend, if at the age of 20 in his rookie yr he is doing this, wtf hell is he gonna b like with couple yrs under his belt with a fab new RCV??!!
