Wudnt blame him if he did n Honda wud pay good money to have his skills and he wud join Casey N Rossi by winning the motogp championship on 2 different manufacturers Honda n Yamaha r leagues ahead of other teams on that grid, if Yamaha arent delivering then course his gonna go!
Not heard anything, but dani's days are numbered, Lorenzo is Spanish, and the only way to try and stop MM is to be on the same bike at the mo... Unless Yama up there game big time. Would be a smart move for all involved IMO. But why would HRC dent MM chances of domination??
Would make sense. I can't see Pedrosa being around at Honda for much longer tbh. Would be nice to see a non-Spanish rider on a Honda for a while tho. I guess it depends how much they rely on the Repsol sponsorship. If it means my Repsol 'blade continues to be a race rep, they can sing as many bleedin' Spanish riders as they like!
It'll be worth even less if Repsol pull their sponsorship. It must already be worth quite little being so common and learner restricted
Can't see this being anything more that a comment or somthing Lorenzo said during an interview summit like the "honda's have that little bit of an edge on the Yamaha at the moment!" It's too early for him to be even be thinking about 2015 as he's still to make it through 2014's season safely first, and I can see him staying at yam if he reclaims the title again next year! The riders are pretty much contracted to tow the party line and even keep there mouth shut even for a good few months after leaving a manufacturer, case and point crutchlow. He was asked numerous times what the duc is like compared to the yam he just got off and he either changed the subject fast or just said its a different machine and we are still getting familiar with it!
He's just keeping all his options open reading that! He admits he would like to stay at yam but Hondas not out of the question if there bike is leaps n bounds better than the yam! That's the racers way is it not?
The thing is, the Honda was better this year, but look at the difference the seamless shift gearbox made. If it had been in the bike all season it would have been a different story. The Yam could well be the better bike next season. The differences in these machines are minimal and takes real skill and talent to seperate them. One small change in the bike and it may well be a different story. The only thing for almost certain is what the top 4 bikes will be.
Hes still the best rider on track imo,he did win more races than mm(i know mm was just doin enough on last two) i think if he was on the same bike as mm he would piss it Im a fan of MM also hes livened things up nicely
I think next season will see some hard fought battles between Lorenzo and Marquez tbh....at least the first few rounds anyway. It was a shame that last season ended how it did, with Marquez having to conserve his points, simply because, IMO, if the Australian mess hadn't occurred and Marquez crowned in Japan, then it would have been a real show in Valencia of who was the better rider as Lorenzo was getting faster with the new seamless box and they would have been able to fight for final race glory. I feel that he will stay with Yamaha if he gets a couple of wins early in 2014 Unless Honda dangle the purse strings under his nose of course, if he does go over then Honda will dominate MotoGP for a long time to come..
Marquez and Lorenzo should be a great battle next year and if Pedrosa doesn't step up I can see it beong his last year with Honda. As for Lorenzo going to Honda I wouldn't see that making him friends with Marquez, after all Lorenzo and Rossi had some ding-dongs last time around.
