Hi all, 33y 'old' from Belgium.. never driven anything other than Honda . Ok, my track record of owning bikes isn't that long: Honda MT5, Honda NSR50 (80cc actually) and then ,after 12y w/o bikes: Honda CBR600F and now owning the CBR1000RRA '09 for little over two years. Only doing track days nowadays.. I can't enjoy the superbike on the road without risking my license and my life every other second. I hope to learn some extra tips&tricks on this forum and of course contribute as well CBR1000RR mods: * C-ABS removed (didnt work well on track) * HRC ECU - Dholda tuned * Dholda velocity stacks * Gilles VRTG38 rear set * TenKateRacing fairing * Ohlins FGK1400 Cartridge (to be installed) * Ohlins TTX36 (to be installed) maybe looking into that nice HMSS quick shifter I read about in the traders section as pictures say more than a thousand words... cheers, Maarten.
do'n't be there not his pics you have never met me (http://1000rr.co.uk/new-members/14748.htm ) I'll see if I can get him to come to a track day in the UK with me next year
Welcome Maarten . Which tracks do you use? Some guys n gals on my local southeast forum were thinking of a trackday in Belgium.
either Spa francorchamps or Zolder, Zolder you have to watch which days you book as you need to be on the "open exhaust" days, where there is no noise limit, otherwise the otherdays are 95db days, which isn't alot, and on your second warning your going home
I'd recommend Spa-Francorchamps (most expensive but high speed, 7km long, lots of fast corners, famous 'eau rouge' corner, less problems with noise, lots of elevation changes... )
Welcome Maartin. After a few pints of your Leffe blonde, my beer tipple of choice at home I take my life into my own hands on the two steps up to the bedroom left alone driving on your roads. Enjoy your stay with us.
