I got a discount from kriega at the bike show a couple of years ago which they don't normally do even at shows as asked for forces discount! If your there on the 30th i don't mind coming over with you and asking for the same again if they don't do you a show price!

look at the givi tank lock bags... take 1 second (literally) to remove and fit. do a small one also which is enough for all docs inc passports wallets etc. could be an option and wouldnt get in way at all....

Or go for the Porta-Poti option...

In terms of quality and aesthetics the SW MOTECH tank bags (German) are far superior to Givi (Italian). Their tank ring is smaller, nicer and more robust than the Givi one and their micro tank bag is small enough / less obtrusive than anything else out there:

Looks a decent bit of kit that mate, nice one. Although I couldn't fault my givi tbh.

    You got it? Waterproof?

Jimbo how do you find it affects your ability to lean over the tank and tuck in? Or is it a good resting point when on long rides like I might take in the summer.... :)

Got both the SW MOTECH and the Givi, the Givi now lives in the skip as it's fugly and flimsy compared to the SW MOTECH. Both are water resistant and both came with a waterproof outer jacket.

For a tail pack I've been using the Ventura Sports Rack + Sport Pack but TBH I don't like the bikes looks with the rack on and took it off. I'm not too keen on the Kriega stuff either as it is too much fuffing about with all the straps and buckles (had it on my previous bike) etc. Next season for touring I will use the Ventura touring rack and one of their touring bags and for day trips it will be the SW MOTECH tank bag.

I bought the oxford Tailpack X40 and i am very happy with it. I can carry my laptop 15"

    Oxford X40 Tailpack - RevZilla

I bought it in a Spanish seller that is cheaper than this revzilla...

I needed to pack light especially as my first bike was a 600RR-07 and I was going to Le Mans Moto GP.
I opted for Kriega R35 which I use all the time and US20 but the rucksack can get heavy off the bike and it makes my hips ache on long rides when full of gear so I now have a US10 also and pack most stuff in those but still take my rucksack for easy access to passport etc.
