The lines will still rub when going over bumps and things tho rubbing off the anodising coating.

It's pretty excessive in my mind too! I know most bike manuals spec them about 23nm but as a rule of thumb the bolts should be good after nipping the bolts up then an extra quarter turn to tighten fully.

    Edit......Honda manual shows 34nm /25 Ibf-ft / 3.5kgf-m
(still seems excessive to me but hey ho hand up)

And this is why we are giving you some feedback.
We know it takes a bit of effort mate, and we all start somewhere.

Don't think that we are taking the piss here. We ain't.

It makes sense to add in our input so that other members reading this learn how to do it. ;)

As stated the replies are not ment as derogatory comments but trying to help others that come here looking for the same sort of info and guide.

The thing with the cables touching the fork tubes will have been caused by the cables turning as you were tightening the banjo bolt up (this is from experience!) and would recommend loosening the MC banjo off and rotating the cables away from the tubes so they are not in contact with the surface as they will scratch and scuff off the protective coating over time.

The Brake Line banjo connections should be Torqued to 34 N-m according to the Service Manual

I agree does look close, if there was a problem as on this website you can bend them to fit.

The Honda service manual is based on the materials used by them when building the bike.

Arn't these stainless items? Therefore is the Honda manual actually relevant?

Don't regret it. I know how you feel but I promise ya there's about 20 peeps out there who will be super glad for the help even if they don't post it for fear of being ripped a new one. I try to post a lot of details on mods I do on my racing blade and have got the same in the past but also private mails of thanks etc. Chin up and merry xmas!! Good choice with hel lines. I use nothing else!

Second that mate, my comments are only from experience of the pro bolt stainless rear disk bolts that If torqued to OEM they are fcuked, lol I did it!

Found it useful as ordered some of the p clips you've used.
