Hi all, I joined the forum in 2012 but have only just got round to posting. Better late than never! I have lurked though and have got inspiration from the touring section to do my own trip to Germany in September 2013. Some of you might have seen my report on other forums, I'll post it here if people are interested. That's my 929 'blade parked next to my tent in the Black Forest. Had it over 3 years. It's been to the IOM TT and 2 euro trips as well as rideouts etc. Can't quite stretch financially to a CBR1000RR but I'm still loving my 929 and for a 14 year old bike it still looks fine and goes very well. Plans for 2014 are the TT again and the Eifel in September. I live in the south east, might see a few of you around. Fantastic forum by the way.
Welcome to the forum Rob Post up your thread on the trip mate. We ain't got anything better to do these days
Welcome along Rob, loved the photos on the write up, I never get round to taking enough photos on my trips despite always packing the camera.
Thanks for the warm welcome, good to see some 929 love still going on! Pete-That's the beauty of travelling on your own, take pictures when you like. I've done a group trip to the Eifel and as great as it is you don't always get the opportunity to stop when you feel like it because there's always others to consider.
I f-ing loved my 929... same colour scheme as yours too. To be honest, I wish I'd never sold it for an RR7... although the RR7 is better, its only marginally so in my opinion, and I wished I had kept the 929 and saved the pennies for another year, and gone to an RR8/RR9.
