Sigma focus slower in comparison to Canon L mate... the last 2 are sharper. What speed and aperture settings Steve?? My Sigma 300 doesn't focus nowhere near as fast as the Canon L's i've got, and take a bit of learning on how they work. All lenses don't have the sharpest image when used wide open, bang it up to f4 or f5.6 and increase iso to get the speed up mate, they'll be loads sharper. f5.6, iso 5000

First off si , I think your wrong about the focus compared to your canon L , This sigma is very very fast , Two main reasons why they are not sharpe like I wanted is this , Its a heavy ish lens monopod reqd not hand held so bit of camera shake , I was at the side of road with very large hedge behind me i was in shadows , Before I could change settings they were here and gone , , And surely your ISO speed of 5000 is way too high ?
5000 as it was a very dull day and +1 ec. My sigma is not great at fas af though, maybe I've got a crap copy?
How much better could these pictures be if that camera, wasn't hand held ? I thought they were brilliant
