I clean my bike in the winter once every 2-3 weeks as i use daily in all weathers. I always use wax after every clean, i also use bumper shine spray on the matt parts and around the suspension and pivot points(hard to reach places) as i find it leaves a protective film that repels water very well. after doing this i use brake & clutch cleaner on the discs and tyre edges encase any silicone has touched these surfaces. here are a few pictures, it wont stay this clean for long lol
Good work, I wish I had your dedication to keep her sweet. I take the easy option, but miss the biking.
Thank you for your comments, it takes me about 1 hour and half. It was filthy before and i get a great deal of satisfaction when im finished lol
So i cleaned my bike again today, its been 2 weeks since i done it last, check out how filthy it gets in 2 weeks!! before and after! tomorrow afternoon it will be similar to the first picture! roll on summer !!
Nothing better than a good clean is there. So satisfying isnt it. I also use bumper shine on all the black plastics and it works a treat
Nothing more disheartening than spending time over the weekend cleaning the steed up to that level of cleanliness then waking up for work Monday morning to the sound of lashing down rain :-(
You are very much correct, got back from work today and the bike looks as bad as it was Friday lol Why did I buy a black blade lol! They look so good 5 minutes after you wash them
That's a real credit to you, especially as it's an everyday bike. Most weekend bikes don't look that good. And like you say, so satisfying.
