Hello. Tomorrows job is setting the sag on my suspension before i start the finer tweaking (or i give up and go to Steve Jordans)! Ive got an RR6 and I've looked at lots of vids and posts and gone into information overload :/ What does anyone, for once and for all, recommend i set my sag at please ?? Cheers G
Got this setup from ActiForce Racing at a trackday at Brand Gp Circuit . Works very well on my 06 blade . Forks Fork height 1mm Static static sag 27 Comp LS 1 Rebound LS 1.75 Preload 15 Standard Rear Sock Static sag 11 Comp LS 3 Rebound 4.25 Preload Level 5
You could try my setting which are for a 2008, I know the forks are pretty much the same not sure if the shock will work but should give you a base to tweek with as am similar weight to you http://1000rr.co.uk/members/sps170373-albums580-15208.htm
Hello mate. Ive just got in from tinkering and seen your set up and mines worked out so different ! I went with this page Motorcycle Suspension Setup ! Ive done everything as they said and they recommend: Rear Rider 30-40mm and static 5-10mm. Front rider 35-48 rider, and 25-30mm static ! I got mine to rear rider 36mm and static 6mm and front 48mm rider and 29mm static ! Had to preload rear shock to 10, the max setting and 1 turn of preload on the front :/ ! Haven't done anything with compression and rebound yet but it seemed to ride so much better ! Its all voodoo ya know !!
Yep sag is the easy bit. It's the compression/rebound rates that you need a bit of experience to get right.
