evening all like a twat i have threaded one of the bolts that hold the foot rest on, is there na tool i can re thread it with? and do halfords/screwfix sell it? as they are the nearest shops to me so i can be back on the road monday cheers
can't you just buy another bolt? or is it the hole you bolt onto? if so use something called helicoil to use the same size bolt again. if you have to re tap the hole it be bigger and you have to use a bigger bolt. with this you can re use the original bolt Helicoil | Threaded Inserts | Wire Thread Inserts
We use these where I work and they work very well. http://www.timesert.com/ Thread repair system Time Sert | Thread repair and reinforcement | Würth UK Limited
When I was a maintenance engineer we had stripped threads all the time from over enthusiastic operators and found that helicoils could be a bit fiddly to fit and often screwed out with the bolt if it was ever removed then after searching for a solution I found a thread repair system from Wurth, search in Google, I found these were idiot proof to put in, which suited me, and much stronger and more reliable than standard helicoils. They maybe more expensive but definitely worth it IMO.

good sh*t that time sert from wurth, same kind of idea as the helicoil, but being wurth makes it that bit better looks good! but can you buy that in the UK without being self employed? here wurth stuff is pretty hard to come by without being self employed
