Wait 'til the weather comes good Mark before you sell the blade, have a couple of ride outs on it and then make your decision.

Maybe steve. I went out in the sun last sunday though and felt nothing! It's not the bike, the bike is awesome before people start crying about me slagging the blade off. I just wanna go really fast all the time and the road isn't the place.

Id say that's cold track temps mate, was same for me on Sunday, didn't get knee down anywhere near as much as grip levels are not the same as summer.

Put learning new bike in mix with a more aggressive riding position and not surprising really...

What tyres were you running YT? Bizarelly, the hotter the track, the harder the tyre you should use really. So something super soft at these times is ideal. I tend to use Metzeler Racetec K2s, which have loads of feel and grip.

Racetecs matey. To be honest I just wanted to pass the ACU with no misshaps. Hardly leant the bike over tbf with it being cold so no wonder I was slower. Need to go back again!

Congrats tyke! So what does the track assessment actually consist of? Do they time you then?

Assuming it was same as mine last week, three laps in formation at quite a sedate pace, instructor calls you through one at a time (groups of 5 on my day)

2nd session much the same, increasing your speed a bit but not quick.

Then a grid start including sighting lap, form up, lights out your off! Which was very cool.

In all honesty.... It was a piece of piss, they are not looking for blistering pace, just awareness of track rules / flags and can get round safely.

its a bug ill give you that.

Personally id have done as Wedgie has. keep the blade and slowly turn it into a race bike, with daytime ticket for the odd blast, then after a couple of years on the 600 you have a decwent thou ready to go.

Yeah well I'm fairly happy with the 6 for now still got lots to learn. Just not gonna be riding the blade at all so it has to go. Will free up a lot of cash as well for making this season more comfortable and allowing me to do an extra 2 TDs a month with the weekend of racing too.
