    Hi All,

Following my post in the ideas section I decided to start a thread containing the various Aftermarket Exhausts and will post up their noise limits if you know some please feel free to add them and I can edit the main OP here with them so you can see them at first glance. I should point out I have an 09 Blade so if people can tell me the systems for the earlier models I will get them up here too.

Just thought that this would help people when booking track days they get an idea of what their bike is likely to read.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE WHEN GOING TO NOISE READING MAKE SURE YOUR BIKE IS UP TO TEMP IF NOT A LITTLE BIT HOT AS COLD EXHAUST CAN VARY AS MUCH AS 2DB HIGHER THAN WHEN HOT

When you give me the noise readouts please can you include the RPM level that the bike was tested at so I can include that too.

Please also note that I have placed readings for UK and US exhausts as there seems to be a noticeable difference between UK spec and US spec cans so this could effect your noise reading.

Let me know if I've missed any and I will add them to the List -

    1.) Stock Can - 96db at 6K RPM
2.) Leo Vince Evo 2 Can (Slip on) With Baffle -
3.) Leo Vince Evo 2 Can (Slip on) Without Baffle -
4.) Yoshimura R77 (Slip on) With Baffle - 101db at 6k RPM US Can
5.) Yoshimura R77 (Slip on) Without Baffle - 101DB at 6K RPM UK Can 110DB at 6K RPM US Can
6.) Yoshimura R77 Full System With Baffle - Waiting on Navvy ;)
7.) Yoshimura R77 Full System Without Baffle - Waiting on Navvy ;)

12.) Akrapovic (Slip on) With Baffle -

18.) Termigoni (Slip On) With Baffle -
19.) Termigoni (Slip On) Without Baffle -
20.) Termigoni Full System With Baffle -
21.) Termigoni Full System Without Baffle -
22.) Taylor Made Exhaust System With Baffle -
23.) Taylor Made Exhaust System Without Baffle -
24.) Leo Vince GP 2 Can With Baffle -
25.) Leo Vince GP 2 Can Without Baffle -
26.) Austin Racing GP2 (Slip On) With Baffle -
27.) Austin Racing GP2 (Slip On) Without Baffle -
28.) 07 Blade Akrapovic Carbon Slip on With Baffle - 96db at 7k RPM
29.) 07 Blade Akrapovic Carbon Slip on Without Baffle 101.8db at 7k RPM

That's all I know off the top of my head but if anybody can list any more please let me know and I will get them added up there. Also Please correct me if I have got any of the rev ranges wrong?

Also compiling a list of Cans / Systems that are likely not to be allowed on Track -

    1.) Race Fit Growler
    2.) Arrow GP2 Can.

You going to have your work cut out here on a 2009

So to confuse things Yoshi r77 slip on at 5500k revs with baffle 101db the same as the one you have without baffle.

Mine has also confirmed 3times at 101db at 5.5k revs (no baffle) which all 4cyl 1000's have to be held at according to uk regs I thought?

Will be able to tell you the full system sound in two weeks but always without baffle ;)

My Yoshi has always been 101db with baffle in wish I could take baffle out as it's sounds awesome took it out in Jerez . I did get this from the states direct so wonder if there is a difference in USA Yoshi and Europeon Yoshi sold end cans .

Got 94dB at snetterton with OEM can, not sure if their equipment was working correctly though as my mate with a Ninja 636 with Akro w/o baffle was 96dB and that was uber loud

Bought mine from Calsport last year mate for around 670quid just before price rise. Got the Yoshi header from a friend of a forum member but haven't checked it yet. Will do at MSV TD on 8th I'm just rocking up for a sound check.

If I'm over I'll just repack the can, maybe you could repack yours too and get rid of baffle. It takes a fair bit of power away when fitted as the dyno showed so we didn't even bother creating a map for it

It's a good idea but I'm afraid the numbers just vary too much and air intake noise on some bikes is also a problem.

    5.) Yoshimura R77 (Slip on) Without Baffle - 101DB at 6K RPM?

    I have 101 a 102 db @6k rpm WITH original baffle ( prospeed.de ).. Barely get permission to go on track @spa-francorchamps

    Without baffle... 110-114db

I also believe the type of measuring device and range is important (official db meter vs iPhone for example :) )

Mine was measured at MSV events so very official and I also have a K&N air filter and the PAIR system removed. My full Yoshi system sound check will be also by MSV at Bedford autodrome. Maybe worth denoting uk or us spec for Yoshi figures to help those that buy them from the states for 200quid less?
