After a ride out and arm the alarm on the grey button, alarm sounds 5 bleeps as if it's being nudged. Had it on 4yrs but problem has only just started Any ideas please Regards Tim
I would as above check the batteries in the fob or even try the spare fob to see what it does as I found this info on another site n it appears the five beeps is just to warn you the imobiliser has been activated but not the actual alarm system!
http://www.bikealarms.net/Info/DatatoolS4userguide.pdf Im sure there is something about the 5 bleep signal in here......
When you press the arming button, do the indicators flash? If so there is contact between the fob and alarm. If not, change batteries or try spare fob as suggested above. The passive arming does not operate until around 30+ secs after ignition is switched off, so if its happening as soon as you press the fob button, it is another issue. These alarms are sensitive to voltage levels, so what state is your bike battery in?
Hi thanks for all the replies, It would appear not to be the batteries in either fob keys, as I changed both batteries in both fobs. Both indicators flash on pressing grey button. Still have the same problem, I press the grey button wait 30 seconds for the alarm to arm and within 20 seconds 5 bleeps. In the Datatool manual 5 bleeps relates to the nudge sensor. But once this accurs nothing else happens until I nudge deliberately or tilt the bike. Although the moderate wind last night set off the alarm. If allowed to arm it's self problem doesn't accur. I spoke to Datatool but they weren't very helpful. advised me to take it to the local dealership to check the Nudge sensor settings.
