I manage a Liquor Store in Cowes the main town on the island....The summer season has just finished so its been full on for the last 2 months,time to chill ,the circuit is 2minutes from my houseI do at least 6 track days a year....I ride past it almost every day of my life,but never take it for granted!!!! If i dont go for an arvo ride i go surfing,great place to live, population approx 7000 people,very laid back lifestyle....Will see if i can learn to operate my wives camera rather than my iphone and get some decent shots!!!
I know the plac fairly well, used to live in melbourne and have traveled down a few times.... like you said great laid back place, I wouldn't mind it my self, but too cold for me would remind me of living in belgium ... I'll be off to the sunny coast or somewhere around, hervey bay, anywhere up north in a few years.... get some pics up when you do!
7000? That would make about one takeaway eatery for every 5 people over there Rusty's brewery is one of my favourite refuelling points there and Di Capri's pizza are sublime!
You are dead right about takeaway places :I supply Rustys Brewery with some of their craft beers. Isola De Capri make the best pizza & italian food,Rossi lives at the joint,you can find him and most of the other italians there practically every night they are in town. I am just about to take off to the track now,will take some photos(i am a crap photographer) and post them up tonight
First session finished ,taken at Lukey Heights (my personal favourite part of the track)home for some camera tuition then back for next session
